ART ADJACENT SINCE 1954

I paint as a colorist in an attempt to create beautiful works, no matter the subject, of what I see. Color and music are my DNA. They were gifted to me and after a long journey of denial, I am letting them be free. So, I am in search of my oeuvre and one day I hope to be worthy of the term “artist”.

I was born a creative. For too long I directed my efforts in creating various businesses. I now choose to release my fears visually and allow my work to be judged by you. My mission is to tell stories of people and things I see every day, who are flawed, beautiful and typically, not seen. As best I can, my work will speak to environmentalism, racism, sexism and most importantly, humanism.

My media tell color stories that are purposeful and accidental. My processes are evolving and typically begin with jazz by Gil Scott Heron, Chick Corea or Keith Jarrett and The Balvenie. My media are acrylic, oil and photography.

I am Greg F. Walton. I sign my work as GPapi.

I am inspired by humanity.
